Includes 1/2 each of Kona Peaberry, Kaanapali Moka, Kaanapali Peaberry and Kona Dark.

Kona Peaberry-The Peaberry Kona coffee beans featured in our pure Kona Peaberry are a rare variation on the standard coffee cherry. It occurs when the Kona coffee cherry yields only one bean, instead of the usual two. As a result, Peaberry Kona beans are round and dense, and deliver a cup with incredibly full flavor.

Kaanapali Moka-Kaanapali Moka is one of Hawaii's most highly rated varieties, winning many awards and medals in cupping competitions. It is grown on the Kaanapali Coffee Farms, on the gentle slopes of the West Maui Mountains that start just outside of the historical town of Lahaina and rise high above the pristine waters and white-sand beaches of the world-renowned Ka'anapali Resort.

Kaanapali Peaberry- Kaanapali Coffee, on the island of Maui near the historical town of Lahaina, offers what may be the widest range of flavor profiles available from any single coffee farm in the world. From its inception, Kaanapali separated and sold its coffee by botanical variety -- the wildly fruity Moka, the quietly classic heirloom Typica, the crisply bright Yellow Caturra, and the complex Catuai. Furthermore, Kaanapali processes coffee from each of these four varieties using two different methods: the wet process, which emphasizes the clean, bright aspects of each profile, and the natural dry process, emphasizing low-key complexity. Thus in any one crop year Kaanapali offers eight very different cups -- four botanical varieties of coffee, each processed by two different methods. Although the exotic, chocolate-and-fruit-toned Moka attracts the most attention from buyers, the other three varieties in their quieter way produce subtly nuanced and often striking cups.

Kona Dark-We take our delectable Kona coffee beans (Kona #1, in fact - a high-grade, medium sized beans with smooth consistency) and roast them darker. This delivers a sharp, lively flavor that makes them perfect for espresso.
